The young Stephen Pennicard, at the age of 27 decided to open a carpet business inside one of the worst recessions since the 1930’s. He took a gamble and joined in partnership with his father Ted, after many years working alongside each other within the industry, to open Crystal carpets, in November 1990.
Successfully the family business grew and employed its first employee, Paul Dowson, who still after 18+ years remains a loyal member of the team. Later, the third generation joined the business, Stephens’s eldest son, Jamie and a few years later Jamie’s younger brother Josh also became a part of the business.
Crystal Carpets is proud to have withstood the hardships that small independent businesses face over the years and have a 25 years and counting reputation that is a 3 generation family run business. Expect the highest of service and continuing care that a small personal business can offer.
